I’m writing this curled up on the couch the night before I head to Alabama to spend Christmas and New Year’s with my family. I should probably (definitely) be packing right now…but I started thinking about this past year with you, and I just had to sit down and write this first.
I can’t believe we’re already at the end of the year! It feels like I blinked, and life went in fast forward from January to a whole year of new faces, returning faces, first curl cuts, and big reveal moments.
Just look at how good everyone looked leaving the salon!

This year, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of helping so many curlfriends start loving their curls again (or for the very first time). We’ve laughed together, taken selfies in the mirror, celebrated your curl journeys, and looked amazing while doing it! Every before-and-after that happened, every curl twirl moment – that’s the stuff I live for.
New Website, New Salon, New Education, New Season
On top of all the big moments in my chair, this year has been a big one for me behind the scenes, too.
I launched a new website, started blogging about curl products and education, and even moved out of my old salon space and into a new salon home. I did so much praying and planning over that move. So many late-night runs to Target to get everything ready! I truly wasn’t sure if I was making the right decision, but seeing the new space come together piece by piece felt like such an answered prayer.
Every time I walk in and turn the lights on now, I’m reminded of how far we’ve come. Going from a girl who didn’t have a good relationship with her curls to someone who helps other little girls and women fall in love with theirs…it’s a blessing. And whether you were brand new to my chair or you’ve been with me since the early days, I’m grateful for you. Thank you for trusting me with your hair, your stories, and your time this year!
Looking Ahead to 2026
I’m so excited for the next two weeks with family and friends. Getting to watch my kids in the snow, relaxing, seeing everyone again. I can’t wait! I hope you’re getting to spend time with your loved ones, too.
I’ll be back in the salon January 6th, rested and ready for a fresh year of curl transformations, more educational posts, and “oh wow” moments in the mirror. If you’re dreaming about a new cut, a healthier hair routine, curly hair extensions, a new color, or finally figuring out what your curls actually want, I’d love to see you in my chair next year.
